With more than 25 years in the Stone Business, Francisco Acosta and his wife Margarita have endeavored to seek out some of the worlds most unique stones, as well as some of the most beautiful artisanal techniques to create their new showroom, Stone Boutique. An extension of their previous business as providers of natural stone to fabricators, the Acosta's felt that it was time to change the nature of the stone business to create a more seamless transition for the end user, as well as streamline the process by which stone is chosen by a designer or architect. They worked on developing a proprietary software system that allows for all inventory available to be housed in a "Virtual" warehouse, and then rendered in their Visualization Room within the showroom.
This high tech approach allows for more design flexibility, eliminates the need for time consuming trips to view actual stone slabs, and gives clients more options in less time. "We are excited to bring this new technology to our showroom, and for allowing designers more freedom to create, as opposed to the old processes that the industry has followed for decades", says Francisco. "We love the Design District, and are ready to show the A&D community a fun and impressive new way to buy natural stone".
