We are seeking a polished, relationship-driven Architectural & Design (A&D) Business Development Account Manager to serve as a trusted resource within the design community. This role is responsible for cultivating strategic partnerships, driving product specification, and expanding market presence by delivering an elevated client experience that reflects our commitment to craftsmanship, innovation, and design excellence.
The ideal candidate is a consultative sales professional with a passion for architecture and interior design, exceptional relationship-building skills, and the ability to influence projects from concept through completion.

Key Responsibilities
Relationship Development & Client Experience
· Build and cultivate lasting relationships with architects, interior designers, developers, builders, and key decision-makers throughout the design and construction community.
· Serve as the primary ambassador for the brand, delivering an elevated client experience that reflects the sophistication of our luxury showroom and product portfolio.
· Conduct showroom tours, product presentations, lunch-and-learns, CEU programs, library updates, and curated design events that educate and inspire.
· Provide specification support, technical guidance, material recommendations, budget pricing, and sample fulfillment throughout every stage of the design process.
· Visit client offices, project sites, and construction locations to provide consultation, product expertise, and project support.
· Foster strong partnerships with premier fabricators, subcontractors, installers, and industry influencers to strengthen project collaboration.
· Represent the company through active participation in professional organizations, including ASID, IIDA, AIA, NKBA, and other industry associations.

Business Development & Market Growth
· Develop and execute strategic territory plans that increase product specifications, strengthen client engagement, and drive sustainable revenue growth.
· Identify new business opportunities while expanding existing client relationships through consultative selling and solution-based recommendations.
· Consistently achieve sales objectives while growing market share across residential and commercial design sectors.
· Position the company as the preferred resource for premium architectural surfaces within the local design community.

Product & Industry Expertise
· Maintain expert knowledge of natural stone, quartz, porcelain, sintered stone, and other luxury architectural materials.
· Stay current on emerging design trends, building materials, fabrication methods, sustainability initiatives, and competitive products.
· Confidently guide clients through product selection by balancing aesthetics, functionality, technical performance, and project budgets.
· Serve as a trusted advisor by offering informed recommendations tailored to each project’s unique design vision.

Project Management & Client Support
· Manage projects from initial specification through final installation, ensuring seamless communication throughout the project lifecycle.
· Prepare accurate quotations, specifications, and pricing proposals for designers, contractors, and fabricators.
· Negotiate pricing and project terms while protecting company profitability and delivering exceptional value.
· Coordinate closely with internal sales, operations, customer service, and marketing teams to ensure successful project execution.
· Anticipate challenges and proactively develop solutions that exceed client expectations.

Marketing & Brand Representation
· Maintain architectural libraries by ensuring current samples, binders, brochures, and marketing collateral remain updated and professionally presented.
· Coordinate product launches, showroom events, networking opportunities, and educational programming that strengthen brand awareness.
· Represent the company with professionalism, confidence, and a deep understanding of luxury design.

Performance & Reporting
· Maintain accurate project pipelines, specification activity, client interactions, and sales opportunities within the company CRM.
· Track specifications from initial concept through project completion to maximize conversion opportunities.
· Analyze market activity, customer trends, and sales performance to identify opportunities for continuous growth.
· Prepare regular reports detailing account development, specification activity, pipeline health, and territory performance.

Qualifications
Required Experience
· 3+ years of successful business development or outside sales experience within architectural products, natural stone, tile, cabinetry, luxury furnishings, construction, or interior design.
· Demonstrated success building relationships with architects, interior designers, builders, and commercial decision-makers.
· Experience managing multiple projects and sales opportunities simultaneously.
· Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Interior Design, Architecture, Construction Management, Marketing, or a related field.
· Existing relationships within the local A&D community.
· Experience working with luxury building materials or premium architectural finishes.

Work Environment
· Primarily based in a luxury showroom and in the field collaborating with the design industry
· Frequent travel throughout the assigned territory to client offices, job sites, industry events, and networking functions.
